Birmingham Inclusive Sports Festival
Classes from our Learning for Life pathway attended the Birmingham inclusive sports festival held at the new Birmingham University Sports Centre.
Classes L2 and L3 attended the Birmingham inclusive sports festival held at the new Birmingham University Sports Centre.
The learners who attended had the opportunity to try a range of inclusive activities for all ages, abilities and backgrounds; developing their Physical Development and motor skills by participating in gymnastics, boxercise, wheelchair basketball, tennis, hockey, fitness and archery.
Experiences likes these within the community, allow our learners to develop independence and generalise skills learnt within a new environment. At the end of the day, each learner who participated was awarded a medal and were able to self-reflect on how they thought the day went - all of them voting that they have had a 'great day'!
