Bring it on Brum! code (also called HAF code or FSM code) required to book your spring holiday activities through the Bring it on Brum! website or with the club of your choice if they are taking bookings directly. 

You will also need this code to request an activity pack (one per eligible child). Your spring Bring it on Brum! (HAF / FSM) code is: 3307013

Spring Holiday Clubs Bring it on Brum! is running FREE activity clubs in Birmingham for those aged 4-16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. 

Clubs will run for 4 or 8 days during the spring (Easter) school holidays; Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th of April and Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th of April 2023. 

Each child is eligible to attend a maximum of 4 sessions during the spring school holidays. Activities include sports and games, arts and crafts, cookery, dance and music. Programmes will vary depending on the type and location of each local club, but every day there will be a nutritious meal served up for free! You will be able to book spring holiday clubs from Monday 13th March 2023 at:

Can’t attend a face-to-face holiday club? If you are not able to access face-to-face holiday clubs, at home activity packs are also available for the spring school holiday. Packs are available one per eligible child and are available for primary or secondary age. You will need your code above to request free spring activity packs. You can register for a free spring activity pack from Monday 13th March 2023; registrations close on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 or as soon as all activity packs have been allocated.

Booked but can’t attend? During our 2022 programmes, we had a large numbers of non-attendees. If you book an activity for your child/ren and can no longer attend please contact the provider to cancel, so the space can be given to another child. We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity so your child/ren can have fun with their friends during the upcoming school holidays.

Birmingham Warm Welcome Spaces

These spaces are available for people to use and visit during the winter period and beyond.

There are several existing Warm Welcome Spaces within local communities across the city. Warm Welcome Spaces are:

  • Inclusive and non-judgemental
  • Heated and free to access

The services at each space will vary but may include:

  • -Information on further support and available guidance
  • -Opportunities to participate in activities and learn new things
  • -Free internet access, computers and charging points
  • -A friendly environment to connect with others within the community
  • - Refreshments such as hot drinks, cordials, and biscuits
  • -Warm food

Hardship Grant Community Fund: 6th February 2023 

The Hardship Grant Community Fund is now open.  It will accept applications until all funds have been given out – closing on or before 31st March 2023. 

The fund is part of Birmingham City Council’s wider Household Support Fund (HSF) support offer for Winter 22/23. You can find details of all support available through HSF here.

BVSC will be distributing grants of up to £200 to Birmingham households currently facing hardship. The fund aims to support households with food and energy-related costs.

COVID - 19: Local Early Help for Families in Birmingham 

Families have told us about the many challenges they face as a result of the Coronavirus. Partner services across Birmingham are grouping together to support families who are asking for help in each locality.  

Some families need support from more than one professional, to get support for your child, young person or family, please complete the Family Connect form:

In Each Locality, Families in Need Can Access: 

  1. Support from voluntary, community and faith groups. Birmingham City Council is investing £0.8m in a community fund to increase local help.

  2. Mental health support for young people aged 11 to 25 through www.Kooth.com. (Please contact Amanda Terry on 0121 773 4637 for more information on Kooth).

  3. Advice and guidance through telephone support in each locality. Partners are working together to contact more families that are asking for help, to make sure they have what they need to cope during the Coronavirus restrictions.

Note that all support will observe social distancing rules whilst restrictions are in place from central government. Across the city there is more early help for families: 

  1. Emergency response hub for vulnerable citizens provided by Birmingham City Council on 0121 303 1116

  2. Parent Link Contact Line for advice and guidance on 0121 303 8461, support for carers on 0333 006 9711, and the Covid-19 Council helpline 0121 303 1116 for other support such as food supplies, essentials, medication and social contact.

  3. www.kooth.com for mental health support for young people aged 11 to 25. The Pause service for young people’s emotional wellbeing is now accessed by telephone on 0207 841 4470. And mental health support for adults is through 0121 262 3555.

  4. Free School Meal voucher scheme for supermarkets — these are emailed to parents or available from schools.

  5. Local offer for families including for children with special educational needs at www.localofferbirmingham.co.uk/

  6. Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid for domestic abuse, telephone 0808 800 0028.
