Dear Parents/Carers,

You will be aware from that the NEU (National Education Union) have declared strike action, which will take place on Wednesday 1st February.

Further to the information shared earlier in the week via our app and website, we are now in the position to inform you of our plans for the strike day.

We are trying our best to deliver high-quality teaching and provide a good education to our learners and will therefore remain open during the strike day on Wednesday 1st February.

Our Academy remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our learners, we may experience difficulties with staffing on the day so please be aware that if we feel staffing levels are unsafe, we may need to send some learners' home.

You will need to be contactable throughout the day in the event we need to send any learners home could you please ensure we have up-to-date contact numbers.

Once again, we are sorry about the potential disruption to you and to your child’s education but we are trying our very best to fulfil our duty to Calthorpe community.
