Post 16 learners volunteering with TAWS

Post 16 learners volunteering with The Active Well-Being Society

This academic year, our learners in post 16 have been given a great opportunity to volunteer with the Active Well-Being Society (TAWS) at their Big Feed Café where they are contributing to provide meals made from locally sourced surplus food that would otherwise end up in landfill.

These volunteering placements have not only promoted community development and well-being, it has highlighted to our learners the importance of cultural understanding and how they can be active citizens within their community and society. Thank you to all at the Active Well-Being Society. We are very much looking forward to continuing our collaborative partnership next academic year.
